OM: Universal Sound-Prayer for Peace 

The Sound of the Universe

We live in a vibratory reality. Physicists are now able to prove that everything that we experience in life has a basic component – the atom. Atoms move and vibrate at very high speeds and in various configurations to compose everything in our reality.  Whether or not we can hear it, each atom produces a sound-wave as it vibrates. Thus, the whole universe is humming simultaneously in an unlimited range of frequencies. The totality of all vibrations in the universe is the sacred sound, OM. 

For thousands of years, cultures worldwide have used this sacred sound to create peace and enlightenment. Originating as a Sanskrit word from India, OM became Hum to the Tibetans, Amin to the Muslims, and Amen to the Egyptians, Greeks, Christians and Jews.   

How the Universal Sound of OM Works for Peace

The sacred sound OM works much like a finely tuned intelligent radio transmitter in accordance with the physics of sound and vibration. In radio transmitters, the message or signal travels on a wave of energy called a carrier wave. OM is analogous to the perfect carrier wave; it is intelligent and self-directing. When used with a focus for peace, it automatically goes to the areas where it is most needed. When groups of 2 or more gather to OM, the combined resonant frequencies amplify the power of our prayers.

When harmonizing with one another in a Sacred Sound Circle, a sympathetic resonance is formed thus creating a vast increase in the strength of the signal of peace, which permeates the invisible fields of the planet. Our prayers for peace are most effective when we relax and allow the sound vibrations to flow through us…Opening, relaxing and letting go, into the One Sacred Sound current of life, harmonizing for Peace on Earth.
